Our Bespoke Service

HOW IT WORKS

Our Bespoke Service

How We Support You

Our priority here is simple: to help you find the right people—whether for your home, estate, or office; full-time or part-time; permanent, temporary, or self-employed.

To ensure we deliver precisely what you need, we offer a uniquely tailored bespoke service, outlined below.

Our Bespoke Service

We begin by speaking with you directly—listening carefully to understand your needs, your expectations, and exactly what you're looking for in a candidate. From there, we craft a clear and tailored job description and begin the search for suitable individuals.

Our team carries out initial screening and conversations, drawing on our experience and expertise to ensure that we only present candidates that we are fully confident meet your requirements—both in terms of skills and personality.

At the shortlisting stage, we provide you with a detailed candidate overview along with our professional insights, and we’ll coordinate interviews at your convenience. Wherever possible, we encourage trial periods to help you feel completely assured in your decision.

Once you're ready to offer the role, we handle all remaining employment checks, and ensure a smooth and seamless onboarding process—right through to the candidate’s first day.

We pride ourselves on being approachable, friendly, and professional. As such, you can read more about our bespoke service, in a step-by-step guide of what you can expect.

How our bespoke service works - step-by-step

Initial contact

An in-depth call or face-to-face meeting with you to get a clear understanding of:

  • Your precise location, household/company structure/culture.
  • Exactly what help you are looking for.
  • The working hours and days required, including start, finish times and overtime.
  • The type of person you feel will fit your household, business and/or organisation.
  • The skill set and qualifications that you need from the candidate.
  • Any additional details that you feel will help us find the right person for you.
  • Advise you on current rates of pay.

T&Cs + Job description

Following the initial call/meeting, we will:

  • Send you our terms and conditions of business for you to read and sign along with the payment for the registration fee. If you have any questions at this stage, we will happily answer them.
  • Write up your job description, which we will then ask you to amend as you see fit (just in case we have missed any important information).
  • Advertise your position with immediate effect on our website, premium Indeed (#1, worldwide employment website for job listings), Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Reed and start the search.

Candidate selection

Once the advert is live:

  • We will contact the candidates who have applied for your position, arranging initial telephone/video calls.
  • We will also search our database to see if we have anyone on our register who is looking for similar work in your area.
  • For those candidates deemed suitable, we will obtain their proof of ID (passport or driving licence) and DBS record if in place.
  • We will then send their details to you (CV & covering letter) with an additional overview of the candidate, their personality, how they presented themselves, skills, hobbies, etc.
  • We will then ask you to provide as much feedback as possible regarding their application so that we can tailor/refine your search further should it be needed.

First Interviews

Once you have decided who you would like to interview:

  • We will arrange the interviews for you – this can be via phone call/Teams/ Zoom/Skye or face-to-face.
  • We will send a confirmation email to both yourself and the candidate, confirming the interview, date, time, location (if necessary) and the candidate’s contact details (email and telephone number).
  • In case of an emergency, both parties will have each other’s contact details (if agreed), to reschedule the interview/meeting. We are however very happy to be contacted too.
  • Following the interview, we ask you to give us as much feedback on all of the candidates as possible.  We will obtain the candidate's thoughts in the meantime – this helps us refine your search further if needed.

Trial Period

Following a positive first or second interview:

  • We highly recommend that you arrange a trial period (usually anything from a couple of hours to possibly even a week or weekend depending on the candidate’s availability). We do not charge for this, but you would be expected to pay the candidate for their time.  This will allow each party to gain a better understanding of each other and confirm that you are both making the right decision before committing.

Offer (subject to references and relevant checks)

Following a successful trial period:

  • We will discuss the offer with you in detail via telephone or email, making sure we have all the relevant information documented.
  • At this point we will inform the candidate of your offer (via email) and request 2 -3 professional references once they have accepted.
  • Following this, an official start date will be agreed.
  • We will be able to assist with any negotiations that arise at this stage. For self-employed positions, we can help with basic contracts but for more detailed contracts, or contracts of employment we recommend contacting StaffTax or NannyTax who have been our go-to payroll providers for many years.
  • If an enhanced DBS check is required, we will contact UKCRBS and start the process.

Check-ins:

Following the candidate's first day:

  • We will check that the candidate has arrived safely and on time on their first day and then again at the end of their first week, checking that they are settling in well.
  •  From this point on, if everything is going smoothly, we will leave you be but are always available if any post-placement assistance is required.
