Nanny

Experienced, part time Nanny required 3 days a week for wonderful family of 6, with possibly another baby on the way. This role will include looking after 4 (possibly 5) lovely, fun, polite and well behaved children. During term time, the nanny will have sole charge of the youngest who is 2 years old.  Throughout the school holidays, the nanny will be required to look after all 4 children, but when Mum is around she will support and share the role, often taking the older children out for a few hours, leaving the Nanny with the younger children or teaming up and all going together.

Hours:

• 3 full days a week, ideally including Mondays and Thursdays, 8.30/9am- 5pm 

This can either be self employed or employed.

The person must:

• Have a genuine love for children and be organised, fair and loving.
• Have childcare experience and be used to looking after new born babies.
• Ideally be a car driver due to rural location, although driving the children during working hours will not be expected unless there is an emergency.
• Be tidy and good at encouraging the children to clean up after themselves throughout the day.
• Like animals as the family home is situated on a farm and they have dogs etc.
• Be creative, fun, engaging and capable of thinking up exciting age appropriate games, arts, crafts, baking etc.
• Enjoy sports, the older children are keen tennis players and enjoy practising when time allows. They have a tennis court in the garden so someone who is happy to join in or help throw tennis balls occasionally would be an added bonus.
• Be able to prepare basic but healthy lunches and occasionally prepare supper following easy recipes.
• Be First Aid trained (preferred).
• Have an up to date DBS check (essential).
• Be able to provide excellent references (essential).

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who would love to join and work for a lovely, large family. The children all adore each other and have a lot of fun together. The family home provides a beautiful, rural setting where lots of  memories are made and adventures had.
