Kennelman/whipper in

Full Time experienced Kennelman/whipper in required for kennels located close to Hadleigh, Suffolk. This would suit someone with a background in country sports particularly with working hounds. We are looking for a reliable person to join the small team ensuring the hounds and premises are kept in good condition.

This can be a riding or non riding position depending on the person, but experience with horses would be preferred

The position will include:

• Being responsible to the Huntsman for work around the hounds
• Keeping the yard and outbuildings clean and tidy
• Walking the hounds daily
• Making sure kennels are cleaned out and washed every day
• Checking hounds for signs of illness or injury and reporting to the appropriate person
• Mucking out 4 horses one day a week ( Sunday )
• Assisting with the flesh round and working on hunt days.

The Person:

• Reliable, punctual and a real team player with an easy going nature
• Physically fit to carryout some heavy work
• Very confident and experienced with dogs ( hounds in particular )
• Preferably will have previous experience working in a flesh house ( skinning etc )
• Organised and efficient 
• Polite and easy to get along with
