Temporary Housekeeper (Holiday Cover)

A wonderful opportunity has arisen for an experienced Housekeeper to assist a lovely family in their large, private home near Ashdon, Cambridgeshire. This is a temporary role to cover their long-standing housekeeper’s summer holiday(s).

To start: Week commencing 4th August 2025 

Duration: 

• 1.5–2 weeks + additional week late August/early September

Hours:

• Full-time hours preferred | Flexible schedule possible

The ideal candidate will be reliable, professional, and meticulous, with previous experience in private households. The family are hoping for someone to begin as early as next week (week of 4th August) for around 1.5 to 2 weeks, with a further week of cover required at the end of August/beginning of September.

Duties will include:

• Full housekeeping support across the home
• Changing and refreshing beds and linens
• Laundry and ironing to a high standard
• Cleaning bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchens, and living spaces
• Daily upkeep of entrance halls, high-traffic areas, and communal rooms
• General tidying, restocking, and organisation

Pay: Competitive hourly rate, self-employed basis
