Housekeeper / Mother’s Help – Private Family Home, Nr Wymondham – 15–25 Hours a Week

We are looking for a kind, proactive and experienced Housekeeper / Mother’s Help to support a warm, busy family in their lovely six-bedroom home located near Wymondham in Norfolk.  This is a part-time, permanent role offering 15–25 hours per week with some flexibility in the working pattern – either 4–5 mornings a week (preferred) or 3 slightly longer days, depending on preference.

The family have two school-aged children (aged 9 and 11), and while no formal childcare is required, an extra pair of hands to help keep on top of family life would be truly appreciated.

They also share their home with three gorgeous medium sized dogs and two cats, so a genuine love for animals is essential. Someone who is happy letting the dogs out and giving them a bit of attention and fuss now and again.

Duties will include:

• Daily housekeeping and cleaning across the home, including 6 bedrooms, three bathrooms, a large family kitchen/ breakfast room and 2 sitting rooms. 
• Dusting/ cleaning wooden beams and polishing inside of windows
• Laundry, ironing, and organising children’s clothes /uniforms
• Changing beds and general tidying of bedrooms and living areas
• Light food preparation would be a real bonus although is not essential 
• Signing for and unpacking grocery deliveries, managing household supplies
• Occasional cupboard organisation

This role would suit someone friendly, self-motivated and reliable, with a practical and “can-do” attitude. Someone who takes pride in maintaining a home to a high standard and enjoys being part of a busy, appreciative household.

Hours:

• 15–25 hours per week, ideally during the mornings, Monday to Friday, but open to slightly longer days for the right person.

Salary:

• £15–£18 per hour, depending on experience
• Self-employed basis preferred although employed would be an option for the right person
