Skilled Landscaper

We are looking for a skilled landscaper to join the energetic, established team within a successful, award winning landscape and construction business. The yard is located in Bures, with easy access from Colchester and Sudbury. Candidates from further afield will also be considered.

The ideal person will be a positive and pro-active and work well within a team in a friendly, cooperative manner. This is a skilled position which will ensure the delivery of projects to the highest standard enabling the job to be delivered on time. The successful person will be required to use their skills to the best of their ability, delivering the highest standards of landscape and construction as well as exceptional client care and consideration.

The Position:

• Laying all types of paving, setts and stone
• Blockwork and brickwork, retaining walls
• Reading and following drawings
• Setting up sites and site levels
• Decking
• Shrub and tree planting
• Turfing and seeding
• Fencing
• Non specialist tree work
• Manual labour when required
• Operating portable tools/pedestrian machinery, large plant and machinery including 3.5 tonne trucks and trailers ( if appropriate )
• Health and safety awareness
• Positivity, proactiveness and a problem solving
• Requires a keen eye for detail
• Excellent communication skills

Location and hours of work:

• Private gardens and construction sites at various locations throughout East Anglia and also London. Yard is based in Bures on the Essex/Suffolk border with easy access from Sudbury and Colchester.
• The days will be Monday to Friday- 40 hours a week, with a start time on site of 8am

The ideal person will be reliable, punctual with an exceptional work ethic and the ability to work well within a likeminded team. Local applicants wold be preferable, however those from Bury St edmuds, Ipswich or Cambridge would be of interest if they have the required skills.
