Part-Time Housekeeper – Beautiful Private Home

A busy, warm and welcoming young family are looking for a wonderful new Housekeeper to join them, following the retirement of their much-loved Housekeeper of many years. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail, and would enjoy supporting a busy household in a stunning rural location.

The family live in a charming 4-bedroom Queen Anne style home, surrounded by parkland, with large light-filled rooms and tall ceilings. With three children (the youngest just 14 months), life is full and lively, so they are seeking someone organised, proactive, and capable of keeping their home running smoothly.

Key responsibilities include:

• General housekeeping: hoovering, mopping, dusting, wiping windowsills, cleaning bathrooms, rotating deep cleans and spring cleans.
• Changing beds and keeping rooms fresh, tidy and clutter-free.
• Assisting with laundry.
• Maintaining the family’s converted barn home gym and sauna with the occasional sweep-through.
• Using foresight to see what needs doing and managing the home with initiative.
• Being comfortable with ladders for window cleaning.

Pets: The family occasionally have a dog in residence, so you’ll need to be pet-friendly.

What they are looking for:

• Previous private housekeeping experience preferred.
• A self-motivated, detail-focused individual with high standards.
• Fit and healthy, as this is a hands-on and active role.
• Kind and lovely to have around.
• A driver is essential due to the rural location.
• Glowing references and a DBS check (required).

The role:

• 2 days per week (10 hours total, with potential for further hours) – ideally one day at the start and one day at the end of the week.
• Self-employed basis.
• £18 per hour, depending on experience.
• All cleaning products provided.
