A wonderful and well established family-run business on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds is looking for an experienced Office Manager / PA to join their small, close-knit team. This is a fast-paced, varied position where no two mornings are quite the same.

This is a part-time role, ideally five mornings a week, within a busy but supportive environment where everyone works closely together. The successful candidate will play a key role in keeping things running smoothly – someone organised, dependable, and who enjoys making a real difference day to day.

The role will suit someone :

  • Diligent and meticulous –  taking pride in keeping everything running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Highly organised – very structured, good at planning, and getting things just right.
  • Tech-savvy and proactive – confident using systems, finding solutions, and keeping one step ahead.
  • Warm, loyal, and lovely to have around – someone who’ll quickly become “part of the furniture.”

Overview of responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the smooth day-to-day running of the office
  • Acting as the first point of contact for internal and external enquiries
  • Managing office correspondence, emails, and phone calls efficiently
  • Maintaining and updating records, databases, and filing systems (digital and paper-based)
  • Organising meetings
  • Liaising with suppliers
  • Managing invoices, and basic bookkeeping or accounts administration
  • Supporting HR processes such as onboarding new staff and maintaining personnel records

This is a part-time role, ideally five mornings a week, Monday-Friday and would suit someone who enjoys being busy and involved, but still wants their afternoons free. Due to the rural location, a car driver is essential.

The family values loyalty and are looking for someone who’s shown commitment in their previous roles and is ready to put down roots in a long-term position.

If this sounds like the perfect fit for you, we’d love to hear from you.
