Full-time or Job Share | Live-in or Live-out options | Stunning Coastal Location

Surrounded by endless natural beauty, steeped in rich history, and set within a landscape of deep tranquillity, this role offers a lifestyle unlike any other. For someone seeking a quieter pace, a remote and restorative environment, and work filled with purpose, this position is genuinely special.

The Castle -offers a truly extraordinary opportunity for an experienced or aspiring Housekeeper to join its small, dedicated household team. This is not simply a job, but a chance to become part of the living heritage of one of Scotland’s most iconic and breathtaking estates.

About the Role

The role is centred around the care, presentation and preservation of the castle, ensuring that it maintains its current 5* visitor experience. Standards are exceptionally high, but training will be provided by the castle’s Custodian, supported by the current Housekeeper, who has loyally served the estate for 58 years. Her knowledge is unparalleled, her skills remarkable, and she is ready to hand over the reins to the right person who shows commitment, warmth, and a willingness to immerse themselves fully in castle life.

Because the castle is both a home and a historic treasure, the housekeeping is varied and seasonal. The busy summer months contrast beautifully with the quieter winter period, offering a wonderful balance and a deep sense of rhythm throughout the year.
