Gardener / Grounds Person – Private Family Home - Near Ascot

Excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable and experienced Gardener / Grounds Person to take responsibility for the care, maintenance and ongoing development of a well-established private garden at a family home near Ascot.

This is a hands-on role requiring a high standard of horticultural skill and attention to detail. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of garden and grounds maintenance, including lawns, borders, shrubs, specimen trees, topiary, hedging, planting schemes, kitchen garden support and seasonal works, ensuring the garden is maintained to an exceptional standard throughout the year.

The family are seeking a professional gardener who is calm, discreet and reliable, with a proven background in private gardens or estates. You will be trusted to work largely autonomously, using your initiative and expertise to manage the garden effectively while communicating clearly with the household.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have strong horticultural knowledge and relevant professional experience (minimum level 2)
• Good with machinery / tools and able to use ride on mowers, chain saw, leaf blower, strimmer, spray etc 
• Be capable of undertaking all aspects of garden and grounds maintenance
• Take pride in delivering consistently high standards
• Be well organised, self-motivated and dependable
• Demonstrate discretion and professionalism at all times
• Be well referenced

Hours:

• Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Long-term opportunity in a stable private household
• Scope to contribute to the ongoing improvement of the garden
