A successful family-run rural business near Bury St Edmunds are growing fast and looking for a capable, level-headed Operations Coordinator to become a key part of the team reporting into the Operations Manager.

The Operations Coordinator will be an integral member of the team working across seven business areas with a huge amount of accountability, variety and depth across each one. From acting as the central point of contact for all administration to ensure the smooth running of daily operations for three field teams, coordinating new and live jobs, managing CRM systems and making sure data is always up to date so nothing is missed or delayed, the Operations Coordinator will also be responsible for fleet and equipment administration, compliance records, onboarding support, stocks and supplies and general operational admin for a busy central office team.

It is therefore crucial that the ideal candidate will have strong administration experience, excellent communication, a compliant and methodical nature, the ability to respond and react to changing tasks whilst managing multiple workstreams and doesn’t mind working independently at times. The ideal candidate will have efficient clear communication and always approach their work with professionalism and accuracy.

Set in a beautiful countryside spot, the office is in a wonderful rural building and will suit someone who is professional, well presented, and happy to be on-site in a busy logistics and operations type environment. This role would particularly suit someone from an agricultural, equestrian, farming, estate, shooting or land-based background who understands seasonal pressure, logistics and the importance of reliability and clear communication.

The role includes:

  • Coordinating daily operations between office and field teams
  • Managing jobs, schedules and systems with accuracy and follow-through
  • Acting as first point of contact for enquiries and problem-solving
  • Keeping CRM, records and compliance up to date
  • Supporting fleet, equipment and general operations administration

This role will suit someone who is:

  • Highly organised and naturally practical
  • Calm under pressure and comfortable juggling priorities
  • Confident communicating with field-based teams
  • Used to rural, service-led or agricultural environments
  • Loyal, dependable and looking for a long-term role

This is a great role in a quickly expanding rural business where the ideal candidate will be a valued member of the team and integral to how the operation runs. This is permanent full-time Monday - Friday.
