A truly lovely family of five are seeking a warm, kind and reliable Housekeeper / Mother’s Help to join their household on a long-term basis, following the upcoming departure of their much-loved Nanny /  housekeeper who has been with them for nearly seven years. She leaves just after Easter, and there are some very big (and wonderful) shoes to fill.

This is a permanent, self-employed role, working every Wednesday, and would suit someone who enjoys a mix of housekeeping and childcare and loves being part of a family home.

The Role:

Mornings will focus on housekeeping, with afternoons centred around caring for the children / nursery, school collection:

  • General housekeeping: cleaning, tidying, laundry and keeping the home running smoothly
  • Basic food prep for family meals
  • Cleaning bathrooms and household upkeep
  • Collecting the children from a lovely local school
  • Bringing them home, preparing tea and caring for them until Mum or Dad return for bath time

The role can be structured as housekeeping in the morning and childcare in the afternoon, or a combined approach — flexibility is very much welcomed.

Hours & Practicalities:

  • Wednesdays: 8.30am – 5.30pm
  • Use of the family car for school runs (fuel paid, car seats provided)
  • £16–£20 per hour, depending on experience

The Family & Home

This is a beautiful family home with three wonderful children and kind, appreciative parents who truly value the person supporting them. They are looking for someone who will become a trusted and familiar presence in their home - just as the current Nanny / Mothers Help has been.

The Ideal Person:

  • Warm, friendly and reliable
  • Confident combining housekeeping and childcare
  • Organised, practical and happy to muck in
  • Looking for a long-term, weekly role
  • Self-employed and well-referenced
  • Genuine love for children
  • Clean driving licence and safe / sensible driver

This is a rare opportunity to step into a much-loved role within a genuinely kind and welcoming family.
