Part Time Groom, Needham Market, Suffolk. REF JF1787

Part Time experienced Groom required to cover Full Time Groom's days off.

This is a small family yard with 3, possibly 4 large horses, so the successful person must be confident and capable handling fit, hunting horses on the ground.

Days required will be Thursday afternoons and a split shift on Sundays.

The Position will involve:

• All yard work to a high standard-mucking out, sweeping, hays, waters etc
• Tacking up horses for the riders and untacking
• Tack cleaning
• Turning horses out and bringing them in from the field
• Checking for injury and reporting to owner or head groom
• Changing rugs
• Brushing off and picking our feet
• Making sure hays and water in stables and feed when required

• Local to the area
• Car driver
• Experienced in all yard duties
• Able to spot injury or illness
• Confident and capable handling large, fit horses.
• Able to commit to the Thursday pm and split shift Sunday.
• Happy to tack up for the riders
