Housekeeper – Beautiful Private Family Residence, Near Ascot

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Housekeeper to join a genuinely lovely family in their beautiful, busy private home located near Ascot. This is a hands-on, varied role ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, a warm nature, and a love of working in family settings with children and dogs.

The successful candidate will take day-to-day responsibility for the cleanliness, presentation, and smooth running of the household, working alongside a House Manager to ensure everything runs seamlessly. This role requires flexibility, discretion, and the ability to take pride in high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily housekeeping and deep cleaning across all rooms and guest areas
• Laundry, ironing, linen changes, wardrobe and cupboard organisation
• Care for fine furnishings, antiques, and delicate surfaces
• Monitoring household supplies and restocking as needed
• Light front-of-house duties during events and family gatherings
• Occasional dog care and comfort around family pets
• Basic security – locking/unlocking and ensuring safety of the home

The Ideal Candidate:

• Highly discreet, professional, and trustworthy
• Excellent attention to detail with a proactive, can-do attitude
• Able to prioritise tasks and work independently or as part of a team
• Confident around children and animals
• Holds a full, clean driving licence

Hours:

• Full time – 37.5 hours per week, including alternating weekends (with time off in lieu during the week)
• Flexibility required when the family is in residence (some evenings and weekends)

This is a rare opportunity to work in a stunning, well-run home with a warm and welcoming family who truly value their staff. Occasional travel to other family properties may be required.
