Housekeeper/Companion

Full Time Live In Housekeeper/Companion required to assist elderly couple with everyday tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, ironing and cooking. The couple live in Little Bentley, Essex and there is a lovely bungalow with garden and garage provided with this role. We are looking for a trustworthy, reliable person who is gentle, kind and considerate. Someone who loves the countryside and animals would be perfect.  A car driver with full UK licence essential as driving will be required. Non smoker only. 
To start early November 2025.  A partner would be welcome and there could be work for them in the garden if required.

The role:

• All housework to a high standard
• Laundry and ironing
• Emptying bins
• Keeping fridge clean and well stocked
• Cooking healthy, nutritious meals
• Bed changing 
• Assisting the lady of the house with washing her hair and medication schedules ( she has Parkinsons')
• Helping with exercise, following a plan provided and encourage 1 or 2 walks a day
• Keeping the house clutter free
• Occasionally cook for lunch or dinner parties
• Staying over when the husband is away
• Bringing logs in and lay fires - Autumn and winter
• Helping with the family dog and cat

The Person:

• Reliable, trustworthy with the kindest, most caring manner
• An experienced high standard housekeeper
• Able to cook healthy meals
• A car driver will full clean UK licence - a car will be provided for errands etc
• Previous experience with Parkinsons' patients would be preferred
• Country loving and good with dogs and cats

A good salary will be offered along with a bungalow with garden and garage close to the main house. A partner would be considered who either worked elsewhere or there could possibly be work in the garden.

References and an in date enhanced DBS will be required.
