Full-Time Grounds / Maintenance Person
Private Estate with Equestrian Facilities – Rural Norfolk  (within easy reach of Norwich)

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Groundsperson/Maintenance professional to join our small, established team on a beautiful private estate with equestrian facilities in rural Norfolk. This is a full-time, live-out position ideally suited to someone living within 30 minutes of the property due to the nature of the role.

This is a varied and hands-on position requiring a practical, proactive individual who takes pride in their work and is happy working outdoors in all weathers.

Key Responsibilities

Grounds & Land Management

  • All aspects of grass care, hedge cutting, trimming, and spraying
  • Tractor driving with implements to maintain paddocks
  • Machinery operation and upkeep (strong mechanical knowledge essential)
  • Ensuring all equipment is maintained in a safe and serviceable condition
  • PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates required

Property Maintenance

  • Routine property maintenance across the estate
  • Gutter cleaning
  • Basic plumbing and small electrical works
  • General handyman duties

Equestrian & Estate Support

  • Assisting with stable duties, including mucking out usually during the winter months
  • Leading horses and carrying out general yard tasks
  • Fence repairs and paddock maintenance
  • Dog walking (large dogs) five days per week on a rota
  • Two late-night estate check visits per week when required

About You

  • Experienced in grounds maintenance and machinery operation
  • Practical, hands-on, and mechanically minded
  • Ideally experienced with horses and comfortable around livestock
  • Fit and physically capable (some heavy work involved)
  • Trustworthy, well-mannered, and dependable
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence essential
  • Must genuinely enjoy working outdoors in all seasons
