Wonderful Spring & Summer Nanny Opportunity- by the Norfolk Coast

A fantastic family in the Brancaster Staithe area are looking for a bright, energetic nanny to join them for the spring and summer months, and it’s a truly dream role for the right person.

Set in a gorgeous family home complete with a swimming pool, two very friendly cocker spaniels, and plenty of outdoor adventure on the doorstep, this is the perfect position for someone who loves being active, outdoorsy, and part of a warm, welcoming household.

The children (aged 7 and 5 years old) are an absolute delight: happy, clever, well mannered, and full of curiosity. They thrive with someone who enjoys playing, chatting, getting creative, and helping to keep their routines and reading ticking along during the holidays.

The role & requirements:

May half‑term: 25–29 May (3 days that week, flexible)

• Summer period: 2 July – 28 August (3 days per week)
• Occasional evening/weekend babysitting and potential overnights
• One key weekend: 4th–5th July overnight support
• Preferred days are Monday/Tuesday or Thursday/Friday, 9am–5pm (although flexible)
• Some travel support may be needed later in August (TBC)

What the role involves:

• Fun, engaging days keeping the children entertained
• Helping with reading and summer routines
• Making simple lunches and snacks
• Being confident around two affectionate working cocker spaniels
• Occasional dog walks with the children
• Driving the children to beach trips, parks, summer camps, swimming lessons, sailing camp, and more (driver’s licence essential)
• Enjoying the pool, kayaks, paddleboards, and making the most of a summer by the coast!

The Person:

• Genuine love for children
• Childcare experience a must
• Creative, fun (but firm) and engaging
• Great communication skills
• Local to Brancaster
• Warm, loving and available to help this spring and summer
• Good with dogs, enjoys baking, cooking and helping where needed
• Clean, UK driving licence 
• Up to date, enhanced DBS check (or willing to have one done before starting)
• Excellent references 

Although the parents work from home at times, the nanny will take the lead with the children so they can enjoy their days without needing to pop back to Mum or Dad. Extended family may also be around here and there, so someone who is warm, friendly, and naturally fits in will feel right at home.

The family offers a great hourly rate of pay and a genuinely lovely working environment where a nanny will feel valued, appreciated, and part of the team.
