Dedicated Mothers Help / Childcare – Supporting a Family During a Key Time (6-12 months)

A lovely private family based in North Norfolk, within easy reach of Holt and Fakenham are seeking either a part time or full time, live-out Mothers Help to support their home during a period of recovery.

This is a truly important role within a warm and welcoming family home with three children, where the right person will bring a calm, caring and thoughtful presence. The position requires someone who is naturally compassionate, highly organised and genuinely happy to step in and help wherever needed (childcare, housekeeping, light cooking, errands, shopping, school runs, sending an email or two etc).

The family have 3 lovely children, one who is neurodiverse and during the school holidays, help with childcare would be greatly appreciated. Experience with neurodiverse and SEND children would be preferred as it would suit someone that understands and can keep the balance in the family home. 

Duties will include:

• Maintaining a clean, tidy and well-run home
• Helping with housekeeping / cleaning duties, including laundry and weekly bed changes, (hoovering, mopping, dusting, making rooms look tidy and well presented)
• Preparing simple, nourishing meals for the family, with some meals prepared in advance for weekends
• Managing household supplies, including kitchen and bathroom essentials
• Assisting with the weekly shop and occasional errands
• Generally stepping in, taking the reins and seamlessly helping run the busy family home
• Helping with school runs

This role would suit someone who takes pride in creating a comfortable and supportive environment and who understands the importance of discretion, kindness and reliability. A “mothers help” approach is very much at the heart of this position, someone who notices what needs doing and gets on with it with care and attention. It would also suit someone who loves children, and is naturally at ease with them and happy to look after them when mum can't. 

The position can be full time or part time for a minimum of 6-12 months, with the possibility of it continuing for up to a year or longer. There is potential for the role to evolve over time too although the hours after the initial 6-12 months may decrease once things settle down.

Anything from 3-5 days a week can be considered. It’s more about finding the person, who has the right experience.
