Experienced Private Grounds Person / Gardener- 3-5 days a week

Beautiful, Private Equestrian Estate, Near Shipdham, North Norfolk,  seeking an experience estate grounds person / gardener. 

An excellent opportunity for an experienced, hands-on Grounds Person / Gardener to join a beautiful 40-acre private estate near Shipdham, Norfolk, working within a friendly, long-standing team in a stunning countryside setting.

This is a varied, long-term role suited to a practical “all-rounder” who takes pride in maintaining high standards across formal and informal gardens and wider estate grounds.

Key Responsibilities

• Lawn care and maintenance across formal and informal areas,
•  Weeding, planting, pruning, and seasonal garden care,
•  Hedge cutting, strimming, spraying and weed control,
•  Maintaining beds, borders and overall presentation of the estate,
•  Leaf clearing and general grounds upkeep,
•  Fence repairs and general property maintenance,
•  Operating machinery including mowers, strimmers and chainsaws,
•  Driving estate vehicles including quad bikes and Gators,
•  Building and maintaining high standards across all outdoor areas including ménage and all weather gallop
• Small Repairs involving electrical and plumbing work
• Driving tractors - moving hay bales (large), edge cutting , hedge flail , large mower for paddocks, fertilising , rolling, pushing up muck heap, mini digger - ditch clearing etc 
• Available to help weekends, occasional bank holidays, some evening checks (on rotation/holiday cover), including checking horses and dogs, ensuring all settled and fed where required

The Person:

• Experienced Grounds Person / Gardener with a strong all-round skillset,
•  Practical, proactive and happy to turn their hand to all aspects of estate maintenance,
•  Positive, reliable and easy to work with,
•  Able to work independently and as part of a team,
•  Takes pride in delivering consistently high standards

Essential, spraying certificates (PA1, PA6), and chainsaw licence as well as experience using machinery, full UK driving licence

Package:

• Part time / Full-time- 3-5 days a week
• Long-term, stable position,
• Employed or self-employed considered,
• Based near Shipdham, North Norfolk (live-out)
