Part-Time Experienced Housekeeper/Cook Required

A lovely opportunity has arisen for an experienced, kind and reliable Housekeeper/Cook to support an elderly couple in their home.

This is a part-time position for approximately 15 hours a week worked over 3 mornings Between Monday and Friday (no weekends). Start times are flexible between 9.30am and 10am.

The clients are both in their 80s. The husband remains active and independent, while his wife lives with Parkinson's and would benefit from companionship and gentle support at times when her husband is out during your working hours.

Duties will include:

• High-standard housekeeping
• Laundry and ironing
• General tidying and organisation
• Cupboard management
• Occasional deep cleaning
• Grocery shopping
• Batch cooking for weekends
• Preparing fresh, healthy weekday meals for two people
• Occasional dog walking

As the role develops, there may also be some light support required with appointments and collecting prescriptions.

The ideal candidate will be:

• Experienced in private housekeeping and home cooking
• Warm, friendly and compassionate
• Reliable and completely trustworthy
• Organised, proactive and happy to help
• Comfortable around dogs
• A non-smoker
• A car driver with their own transport

This position would suit someone with a genuine caring nature and a positive, can-do attitude who enjoys helping to make day-to-day life easier and more comfortable for others.

A good hourly rate will be offered on a self-employed basis.

An Enhanced DBS and excellent references will be required.
