Castlerock, Northern Ireland Accommodation + Vehicle

We are looking for a highly capable, self-starting individual to become the on-site presence for two properties in the Northwest of Ireland, working directly with a fast-moving international principal and his family based in Dubai.  Your primary base will be in the Castlerock property with frequent travel to nearby Donegal.

This is for someone who enjoys responsibility and wants to become a trusted right-hand support, someone the principal can rely on to keep everything running smoothly in their absence.

You will be the person on the ground who knows what’s happening at all times, anticipates what’s needed next, and steps in wherever required to ensure nothing slips.

The Opportunity:

A four acre, private coastal property in Castlerock is being transformed into a high-end lifestyle / corporate hospitality destination, with plans including a pool, luxury accommodation and immaculately maintained grounds.

This is not a finished environment. It is being created, shaped and refined, and you will be at the centre of that process.

For the first 12 to 24 months, your focus will be hands on oversight and coordination, acting as the principal’s eyes, ears and decision support on site. You will be their link to everything happening locally, ensuring the project moves forward smoothly even when they are overseas.

The focus is on doing things properly to create the desired vision.

As the property progresses, it will naturally evolve into a fully operational space with a team around it. This creates genuine long-term opportunity:

The Role:

This is a part time, live-in role, typically 20 to 30 hours per week, ideal for someone who values flexibility but still wants meaningful involvement and responsibility.

At its core, this role is about being the person who keeps everything running quietly, efficiently and reliably. Someone the principal knows they can pick up the phone to at any time and trust that things are under control. They will need to be practical but also have a business / commercial mindset.

Property & Project Oversight:

  • Oversee the day-to-day progress of the property and renovation
  • Coordinate contractors, trades, deliveries and suppliers
  • Keep standards high, timelines on track and details under control
  • Act as the principal’s trusted point of contact and decision support locally

Property Care & Presentation:

  • Maintain a clean, calm, well kept and guest ready environment at all times
  • Carry out light, regular cleaning and general upkeep
  • Take ownership of how the property feels as well as how it looks
  • Maintain outdoor areas, including: keeping lawns cut and presentable using robotic and standard mowers
  • Ensure the overall appearance of the property reflects a high standard at all times

Lifestyle & Guest Support:

  •  Prepare the property ahead of visits
  • Support occasional guests with a professional, welcoming approach (above and beyond attitude)
  • Assist with day-to-day needs when the principal or visitors are in residence

Wider Property Responsibilities:

  • Regular oversight visits to the family’s other properties - Donegal which is approximately one hour away.
  • Manage household systems, security and smart technology

As things develop:

  • Support the onboarding and coordination of additional staff
  • Play a role in shaping how the property operates longer term

The Package:

  • £24,000 per annum
  • Private live-in accommodation
  • All utilities included
  • Vehicle provided for role related travel
  • 25 days holiday plus public holidays
  • Annual performance bonus
  • Flexible part time hours
  • Clear opportunity for the role to grow over time

The ideal person:

  • This role will suit someone who naturally takes ownership and finds satisfaction in being relied upon and is:
  • Highly organised, dependable and self-driven
  • Practical and hands on, comfortable switching between property coordinator and rolling your sleeves up
  • Someone who notices what needs doing and simply gets on with it
  • Comfortable being the go-to person, the one who keeps everything steady and running smoothly
  • Calm, trustworthy and discreet
  • Genuinely motivated by doing things properly

This could suit someone from estate management, property, hospitality, EA / PA or private household backgrounds, or simply someone capable, grounded and looking for something that’s dynamic and meaningful with responsibility.

Crucially, you:

  • Like being the person others rely on
  • Are comfortable being the principal’s right hand and point of contact
  • Want part time work at this stage that has a real impact
  • Like the idea of growing with a role over time
  • Value autonomy, trust and a beautiful working environment

A full clean driving licence is essential. Comfort with everyday technology and communication tools is expected. Glowing references and DBS checks will be required.

Pets are welcome.

The Location:

Castlerock offers one of the most beautiful coastal settings in the UK and Ireland, with beaches, open space and iconic landmarks on your doorstep.

You will be based on four acres of private grounds, offering a unique blend of independence, nature and quality of life.
