Super Summer Nanny (July & August 2026)

A lovely, active, busy family on the beautiful outskirts of Newbury are looking for a truly wonderful summer nanny to join them for six weeks this summer- three weeks in July and three weeks in August 2026.

This is one of those roles that will suit somebody who genuinely loves children and throws themselves wholeheartedly into family life. There are three school-aged children who are full of energy, curious, and great fun, and they need somebody equally brilliant to match them.

The role:

This is very much a hands-on, get-stuck-in position. You will be an extra pair of hands for a busy mum,  a warm, capable presence who can manage the day with confidence and bring real joy and structure to the children’s summer. Day to day, that might look like playing sports in the garden, baking together in the kitchen, driving to clubs, swimming and activities, organising adventures, supervising homework, preparing meals and snacks, and simply being the kind of person the children gravitate toward.

The family have a beautiful home, beloved pets, and a lovely way of life. This temporary role calls for someone smiley, enthusiastic, and genuinely at ease in family life.

About you:

You might be an experienced nanny with a strong background in childcare and glowing references. Or you might be a recent graduate who has always worked brilliantly with children - babysitting, tutoring, coaching, or caring, and is looking for something meaningful to do this summer. Either way, what matters most is that you are somebody truly lovely to be around, a safe, reliable and sensible pair of hands.

You will be:

• Wonderful with children -playful, patient, kind, and consistent
• Happy to muck in with whatever the day requires
• Confident driving and happy to take the children to and from activities (clean driving licence essential)
• A non-smoker, well presented, and thoroughly professional
• In possession of an enhanced DBS check, or happy to obtain one
• Able to provide strong personal and professional references
• Ideally local to the Newbury area, or able to live in for the duration

Live-in option

For the right candidate who is not local, the family are happy to discuss a live-in arrangement.  This is a lovely home and a welcoming household, somebody from further afield who fits well would be very warmly received.
