Family Cook / Driver - with beautiful accommodation included

A warm and wonderfully established private household in Suffolk is seeking a talented and devoted family cook to join their team on a full-time, live-in basis. At the heart of this role is a genuine love of food, a pride in feeding people beautifully, and a quiet commitment to making a house feel like a home.

Day to day, you will be cooking for two principals, producing fresh, wholesome, organic meals that nourish and delight. This would suit someone who  enjoys cooking consistently lovely food, made with care and with the very best ingredients, for people who truly appreciate it. When the household entertains, which they do around 5-6 times a year, the role steps up accordingly, and the ability to cook for groups of up to 12 and to present a formal table when required would be a wonderful asset.

Beyond the kitchen, you will play a broader supporting role in the life of the household. You will be comfortable driving, collecting the principals from the airport and driving to and from luncheons and suppers as needed. When the principals are away, you will take care of their dogs, ensuring they are fed, comfortable, and in good hands.

Accommodation is a beautiful two-bedroom property, included with the position.

This is very much a long-term role, and it will suit somebody who is looking for exactly that. The household speaks for itself: a number of their team members have been in post for ten years or more, and several have been with the family for twenty or thirty years. This is a genuinely lovely, quietly refined environment, semi-informal in day-to-day life with the occasional formal occasion, run to high standards, and staffed by people who take real pride in what they do.

The ideal candidate will be warm, well-presented, and deeply dependable. You will be someone who is naturally tidy-minded, happy to adapt to a household that divides its time between Suffolk,  London and overseas, and entirely at ease with a role that shifts pace depending on the season.
