Night Guests Service Assistant- 21:00 – 07:00 (4 nights per week)- Wellness Retreat

West Lexham Holistic Retreat is one of Norfolk’s most beautiful and peaceful settings, and we are looking for a Nights Guests Service Assistant- to join the small, dedicated team who keep it running at its very best all year round.

This role would suit someone who takes real pride in doing a job well. Through the night hours, you will be the calm, reliable presence that ensures guests feel safe, comfortable and cared for - a custodian of the retreat while everyone sleeps.

Previous experience as a night porter is an advantage, though it is not essential. What matters most is that you are dependable, discreet and genuinely responsible. You will be someone who takes ownership of their shift, handles the unexpected with composure, and understands the importance of a well-run, welcoming environment.

Salary: £13.00 per hour

Hours: 21:00 – 07:00, four nights per week (predominantly weekends), 40 hours per week

The role:

• Cleaning – overnight cleaning of communal areas, corridors and guest-facing spaces
• Room setup – preparing rooms/accommodation for next-day arrivals
• Breakfast setup – laying up the breakfast area ready for the morning team
• Pool opening/closing – securing the pool at close of evening and opening/preparing it in the morning, including any associated checks
• Pot wash – supporting the kitchen with pot wash duties
• Additional tasks – ad hoc tasks as directed, supporting the wider team across the retreat
• Dealing with Guests  – Often there will be guests on site so looking after them and assisting with any issues that might arise

We are looking for someone who is:

• Reliable, responsible and loyal
• Comfortable working independently through the night
• Calm under pressure and confident to use their own initiative
• Respectful of a tranquil, guest-focused environment

Experienced in a similar role, or able to demonstrate the right personal qualities

• A good problem solver who remains calm under pressure
